I bought a truck 4 months ago. It was from a higher end buy here pay here kind of place. Unfortunatly, I was also paying twice the asking price for it. I was late on 1 payment with the next one not even due yet, and they reposessed it. When I tried to make payment the next day, they said I had to pay the entire loan amount to get vehicle back. Is this legal? Do I not have any rights to the money I have already paid? I was only 2 weeks late and they knew when I was getting paid and repo'd it 4 days prior to me being able to pay them. I cannot afford to get another vehicle now since I was making over 600 mo. payments on this one.
