My husband and I live in Florida. I have over 80 thousand dollars in Credit card bills. My husband is disable and can not work. He receives a disability pension. I am unemployed and receive unemployment benefits. We would like to file Chapter 7, our only assets are 2 cars we own (2006 Jetta and 2007 Volvo S40). Do we have to give them up if we file Chapter 7?
Also my husband's father put his summer bungalow in his 4 children's names, including my husband. We have nothing to do with this house. House is paid for. Tax, utilities and insurance are in my sister-in-law's name. If we file Chapter 7, is there any way the Bankruptcy court will find out this deed to this house is in my husband's name.
