My vehicle was stolen from a movie theater in Las Cruces, NM. When I asked to see the footage from the security camers that they have I was told that they had not been working the past few days due to the hard drive being full. As entering the parking lot they have posted signs that read : NOTICE THESE PRIMISES ARE PROTECTED BY ELECTRONIC SUEVEILLANCE. When I asked them about the signs they told me that the signs are a deterrent to criminals... This sign give a false sense of sucurity. Now my question is, is the theater liable for the damages done to my car?

most likely they have a disclaimer on the ticket or posted somewhere that says that they are not liable. Can't imagine that if they put up the signs to deter theives that they don't have a disclaimer somewhere saying they are not liable for vanalism or theft to your car.
