Partnership Advice ( LLC )

I am in partnership with one other person in a LLC. We do not have any other documents to show were in a partnership other then the Business has both are names attached to it with the Business License. We have gone are seperate ways. What course do I have to get my part of the Business equity back? He has said he turned all of are paperwork over to a CPA to evaulate it but this has been going on now for two months. We were in Business for one year. Should I wait and see what they say with tax time approaching or get a Lawyer and start the process?
