Child Support Issue

I was divorced in NY and subsequently moved to NC to be near my ex-wife and son. All three of us now reside in NC. It's my understanding that NY, because none of us reside there, has lost CEJ. Also, under NC law, a child is considered emancipated at age 18, not 21 as under NY state law.

If the order of support is registered in NC, does NC law apply as to how long I have to pay support?
