I have received a notice of foreign judgement and need to know if I can contest it. The judgement is for legal fees in Ohio in a divorce related issue. I could not get back to Ohio for the court appearances and sent the court numerous objections based on defective information along with the proof and it fell on deaf ears. The judge awarded all attorney fees to the Plaintiff. I refused to pay and now she is seeking a foreign judgement in South Carolina.
