I live in Kentucky, a commonwealth state. I have been dating this man that i have known for a few years now. He recently got out of jail in april and began working with me again. we started talking and seeing each other. Within the first week of being with him, he told me something because he said he did not want to keep secrets from me and felt it was important for me to know he background. He told me he was on sex registry list for accidently downloading child porn. He has never touched a child. He has also told me a few other things from his past that he was also convicted for, but did not have to do with child porn. One other one was assault charge. He had came home early from work and caught his girlfriend cheating on him with his best friend. Another charge was a kidnapping charge. Him and a 20 year old girl had went to florida, and she did not tell her mom and her mom filed that she was kidnapped. When it went to courts the girl testified that she went on her own free will, so they dropped the charge, but still got him for leaving the state. When he told me these things a red flag immediately went up for me. I have 2 children, a 5 and a 6 year old. He is a very nice man and a complete gentlemen to me. I am not a judgemental person and believe everyone has made mistakes and has some sort of bad past. Even i have a past, but for last 10 years i have been turned things around for myself and believe others can too. So after hearing this from him, i took a few days to check around on his stories and see if he was being honest. I called state troopers office, sherriffs office, social services, frankfort, and the courts. What he had told me was true. so he was being honest to me about his past. So after a few days of my own investigation, we continued to talk and date. a month went by and my mother found out of his past. My mother had been sexually molested by all her brothers growing up, so when she found out of him being on the sex registry list, lets just say she got out of control. He explained everything to her, but she still didnt want to hear it, and threatened to take my kids from me and have him put in jail for nothing. I then called social service office and spoke with someone and told them the situation. There answer to me was until she calms down just make sure i never leave the children alone with him. We moved in together and that just added fuel to her fire. I did as they said and never left kids alone with him. we was very careful so that things couldnt be twisted around. my mother was watching my kids while i worked. About a month went by and things were great with the new living arrangements. my boyfriend works 40+ hours a week. Before i knew it, i had social workers, detectives , and police at my house. while my kids were in my mothers care while i was at work, she took my daughter to the doctor and told them she had been molested by my boyfriend. i knew it was false because we was very careful not to do anything to raise suspicion. and i am not an idiot, i made sure i was very aware of everything going on in my home. NOTHING WAS GOING ON OR WRONG!! while in being interviewed by the detectives they showed me a video of my daughter being questioned. She is 5 years old and has a touch of autism. You can ask her if she wants dog food for breakfast and she will reply "YES" . basically she will agree with anything said to her. She also has an imaginary friend named "Honey". we have to even buckly honey in the car. if she falls down, she blames honey. in this video my daughter said honey hurt me honey did this. She never said my boyfriends name until they said it to her. she said she was laying in the bed and my boyfriend went inside her and said he loved her. the doctors report came back and proved nothing to have happened to her. my mother also gave the police a pair of her panties with 2 perfect blood spots on them. again proven to be false for nothing had happened. the detectives cleared him of any wrong doing. Then my mothers story changed and she started saying my daughter was just fondled. they took kids from me for 30 days until my court hearing and gave my mother temporary custody. They set it up that i could visit them one hour a day, supervised, and that my mother said i have to treat her with respect when i came over to visit and cannot discuss anything with kids. first time i went there my daughter had a bandaid on her leg and i asked her "what happened, did u fall down?" her reply to me was "no mamaw did it and took me to the doctor" i began crying and couldnt believe someone would do this to my daughter. In this 30 days my children would ask me "why does mamaw say she wants us to stay here forever" and things like that. It hurt me because i wanted them out of her house for i knew she was brainwashing them in a sense. court finally arrived and i got my kids back. even though nothing happened to my daughter by my boyfriend, they still say he cannot be around my kids because of his past. How can someone get over their past if they have to re live it all the time and cannot move on. We are to go back to court soon again. my daughter and i have been in counseling, where she saying everything my mother told her and put in her head. to me saying things to my daughter is just as bad then if she was violated. i am afraid this might mentally scar her for life. and she will question if something really happened when it in reality it didnt. why would a grandmother do this? it is so wrong. So a question is this.... If family court orders my boyfriend not be around my children for really no apparent reason other then his past... if i move to another state that is not commonwealth...does it hold up there or is it not valid? I would never endanger my children nor would i let them be in harm...if i feel they are i would leave a situation. that is why i left my ex-husband, because he was doing Meth and other drugs. My boyfriend is so good to us and i dont want to change that...before all this started we was happy and my kids just love him... i dont know what to do... why is this happening?
