Visa Question

i am a south african citizen on holiday in texas. my current passport expires in january and for that reason i have to return home sooner than planned. i received a visitors visa untill the 15th of march for the usa. i have applied for a new passport and it will be ready soon but in order to receive it i have to give in my old passport which has my usa visa in it. they can send it via courier to me here in texas but my only concern woulkd be that i wont have a valid visa in the new passport when i go through customs. what can i do?

rni did my visa run in cyprus... forgetting about the passport photo requirement, all they requested is for 1 photo, and that ended up costing me in cyprus fkn 18 euros for 4.... across the embassy....rnrnso yes, be ready is the name of the game...rn
