my daughter has a one year old son with a young man (they are not married) the father is listed on the birth certificate.
the problem is his parents..the young man is in the service and is currently serving 18 months over seas....his parents insisted our daughter live with them...they have in effect prisoned our daughter and siezed control of the child....we offered our home to our daughter and her child and she has moved in with us...within hours police came to our door in response to a complaint from the young man's parents....the officer left with no action taken...they have made it clear to us through several phone calls that they want the child...we have strong concerns...the woman has threatened to kill herself if she doesn't get the child...what can we do to ensure that our daughter's right's...both parental and personal...are not further infringed? they have threatened our daughter with legal action and involvement of d.c.f....all as means of keeping the baby under their control....we are tired of their interference and intrusions,...what can we do???
