need help asap californi

I'm currently in the process of serving my son's father child support, custody and visitaion papers, but in the packet of paper has my check stubs and the address of where I work. Do I have to provide that to him? Is it really necessary for him to know where I work? Can I black that information out and take out the copies of my paycheck stubs? I'm concerned that he may try to come to my job and start something.:(
