I met a man in October of 2006 online, we met and had an instant romance, by Christmas he asked me to marry him, ring and all, I said yes of course! About 2 wks. later he asked me to help him get a truck because his credit was less than perfect, of course thinking we were going to be married within the next couple of months I agreed that I would and he would drive it until we got married and I moved to be with him permanently, he lives in Laredo & I live in San Antonio, we picked out a truck, I have all of the paperwork saying it's in my name right down to the sevice agreement, he did sign as a co-signer. Within a month of getting the truck he told me not to call him during certain hours of the day and my weekend trips up there came to a hault, then the next month he told me he thought of me more as a close close friend, then the next month he downgraded me to being his "little" sister, all the while driving a truck in my name, then last month he called me to say he was coming to town to see me, 2 days later he called and said he married his "ex" girlfriend, I told him that he had to get the truck re-financed into his name or I was taking it back, that I wasn't going to gift him a truck when he married someone else, he had months to do this but still hasn't, I contacted the Laredo police dept., they looked over my paperwork for the truck and escorted me to pick it up, he called me 3 days later asking why I did that, I told him that he was a married man now and the truck is legally mine. Yesterday he called to inform me he was coming to take the truck back, I do not know if I am legally covered to keep the truck from him since his name is on the paperwork 2nd to mine being 1st, the car dealership says I have primary right to the car being first signer but he's is an intimidating man and scares me, I am at a loss and don't know what to do, I feel like I should hide the truck until this is resolved but I don't want to get into trouble, does anyone out there know what I should do????
