Hello. I am a 24 yr old guy in West Virginia and im about to go to court on the 19th to establish paternity for my daughter who is 10 months old. in the 10 months of her life ive only seen her twice. her mother and i absolutely dont get along in any way. however, i learned that her mom is now married and the guy plans to adopt my daughter. as of right now i am a broke college student and know (sadly) that i cant provide much, or any, of financial aid for the baby. so im torn on what to do. either step away and sign over 100% of my rights to her and him or do i try to block any adoption they attempt and keep my legal rights. that being said, these are my questions:

1- If he adopts her do i have to sign off on it and approve it for it to go through.
2- If he adopts her do i still pay my child support?

If anyone knows the answers please fell free to let me know. Id greatly appreciate it. i know the morality issue of should i stay or should i go is just an opinion but the legal questions are what i need help with. And also if anyone knows of any websites that have listings of state laws on these matters please let me know. Thank You.
