In the event of a garnishment allowing the emptying of bank accounts, are only the accounts with the defendant accessed? If the spouse has an account in a different bank under only her name, is it safe? Also, if the debt that is being repaid was created while the husband was married to someone else, and the current spouses wages were in the bank account that was accessed, is this allowable?
