stolen ring

my wife's wedding ring was stolen from our hotel room. Mt wife took the ring off, got in the shower, while she was in the shower a maid came in and left clean towels, when my wife got out of the shower, her diamond wedding ring was gone. What should we do?

have you discussed the situation with the hotel in question. See if they have cctv of the maid entering the room from the hall at the time. Also if you possibly suggest that you may pursue legal action they may be willing to settle.

This would be my first point of call, unless you have 100% proof that it was the said maid, in which case you could contact a lawyer as you would have a solid case
