My son who is 25 went to a friends sisters house for a party. There was under age drinking and no supervision. He got drunk and broke a cheap door in the house (worth $50). My son agreed to a deal from his friend to pay him with a bottle of Tangeray and it would be settled.
Now the parents of the sister are moving in because of bankruptcy, and have had the door replaced for $255.00, and are expecting my son to pay for it.
She has harrassed us repeatedly for the money, and has sent a certified letter stating she will take us to court for the money and we will have to pay an additional $83.00 if they win, to pay for court costs.
What should we do?
