Hi. I recently came about a puzzeling problem and desperatly need advice,
from the begining, my husband and I got a hotel room at a casino of wich we planned on enjoying the evening to where we would have everything there-as in: dining, entertainment and ****tails that way we wouldnt be on the road "after the fun was over" and risk geting in trouble or even possibly injuring an innocent part from driving after drinking, we ran into an aquaintance who said they were going to get a room as well allthough we had only known this person a short time we thought seemed pretty nice offerd him our room at what we paid for it because we decided to just go back home the next day there were 2 detectives who came to my door wanting to ask us questions said our friend had gotten their lap top stolen however they informed us that he was under investigation for drugs and that there was Quote" bunches I mean bunches" unquote of drugs found and that they had spoke with this person and they told them that they knew me and my huband long time and that the drugs was mine! unfortunatly I had a codes violation ticket that I didnt have the funds to pay at the time 2 weeks prior to this and consequently issued a warrrent, they cuffed me and took me in I had no problem with that I would just pay my fine as was able to at that time and be back home. well I was held from 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm {with my husband waiting upstairs to post bond} until they had informed me that they were puting me on a 24 hour investigative hold and at that time read me my miranda then interrogated me saying that I am responsible for those drugs that were found and and couldnt figure out or understand why we would get a room 15 min away from home and that I wasnt their target that they just wanted to ask me questions about relationship with friend of wich I honestly didnt knw that they were involved in drugs and told me they could keep me until arraingment for what I dont know, they claimed the hotel give them my name as the person whos name the room was in but my name was no where on there paper work my husband got the room and signed his name and I also have a reciept proving it they had said well ah you must have a credit card dont you I told them I did however it was just on there file and had never been used for they require that when making reservations they kept trying to put words into my mouth and putting down my husband because he used to have a Harley that he was a "biker" and bikers do drugs and hang out in casinos all because 20 yrs ago he had arrested his brother for drugs ans assumed he did them as well they finally released me at 6am the next day but dint get released until arond 8am they also said that they were holding me and wrote "possible user and possesion of paraphenailia" of which we never went up to the room and do not do drugs or have anyting to do with them and until then didnt know our friend did, is there something I can do about this or do I just have to deal with it ? I have never been in trouble other than 1 dui about 20 or so years ago so this was all new to me and very upsetting to be treated in a manor so unhuman as tho I was a harden criminal what can I do??:confused: and not once did they ask me for any id or anything !
