I just rec'd a notice from he IRS that they got a 1099-c from a credit card Co.It was a notice of Debt Cancellation.
I never rec'd any notice from the credit card Co.Also the debt must be very old as it does not appear on my credit report going as far back as 1999.
Is this covered by the Statute of Limitations? I was unaware that this could be done after the statute expired?
