My husband and I have been trying to close on a home for about 6 months now. We had a closing date several times but the financial end did not come through. Finally, our realtor suggested doing a lease to purchase with the homeowners to give us 6 months to get our loan closed. Well. . .two months later she calls and tells us that she is showing the house and that she has entered the potential buyers into a contract. :eek:
Is this legal? I assumed that we actually had 6 months to purchase this home and not have it ripped out from under us. This will be very humiliating for us as we are both teachers in the community.
