My ex-wife and I were married for 2 years. We seperated for a few weeks trying to work things out. I came to our home and found her having an affair. Me and the other person got into a fight and I ended up in jail. While in jail she filed for divorce due to 1 year seperation and I was ordered to pay child support and spousal support. After being released from jail we both remarried and all of us were very close and socialb. The court ordered me to pay alimony directly to my ex and child support through the courts. Whenever I went to pay my ex she would never take the money saying she felt bad because of my financial situation. I was making $6.00 hr and barely holding my head above water. Every thing was fine until 5 years later when we had a disagreement she would not allow me to see my children anymore. I went to the courts and filed a contempt petitton on her for not letting me get my children. A few days latter she went to her attorney and filed papers that I did not pay alimony. Now I have to appear in court to see if I will be held in contempt. Any advice?
