I married in 1995 had a child and divorced in 1997. We got back together in 2000 and in 2001 had another child. We have had a number of problems, he was extremely abusive to me and kicked me out of our home twice. The last time was Labor Day 2006 he would not let me take my children or anything that belonged to me from that house except my clothes. Two years ago I went into rehab for an addiction to prescription drugs which caused me to lose my job and I was unable to find employment. There were 4 credit card accounts that I opened in his name so that we could eat because he refused to give me any money. He had papers drawn up yesterday to get full custody of both the children and gave me until today at noon to sign them or he was taking me to court and having me prosecuted. I need to know what I can do. I have little knowledge of how the law works and need advice extremely bad. Can someone tell me what I can do, if there is anything I can do. The credit cards that were opened in his name were used to feed and cloth our children and now he is talking about prosecuting me for this even though we were living as husband and wife. Please help.
