I live in California Last month, my son was in a car accident, which was determined to be his fault. Both cars were 'totaled,' but no one was hurt.
Our insurance worked with the other party's insurance company and ended up sending a check to the other party to cover the value of her vehicle, which was just under 3,000.00.
This week, we received a letter from the woman with whom my son was in the accident. In her letter, she demanded I pay her 1,000.00 immediately, or she would pursure 'legal action' against me.
What should I do?
