Hello folks,
I have recently run into a substantial problem with my employer. I work for an airline who consistently has personnel contact me regarding operational issues on my time off, sometimes calling five or ten times daily. Most recently, I have received a phone call inquiring about an operational issue at roughly 4 AM that could have easily waiting until the following morning without causing any permanent operational impact. I have objected to these actions by the company but would like to consider further follow up through other means if this behavior does not cease and desist.
I was wondering if anybody can give me any insight into Telecommunications Laws that may prevent an employer from calling at odd hours of the night, and what specific actions must be taken for it to be considered harassment or what specific actions I must take in order to put a stop to it. The employer will claim that they are not calling to harass me, but rather to resolve operational issues, but I believe that the hour that they are attempting to call me at and the repetitiveness of the phone calls may fall under the umbrella of harassment.
Thank you for any insight you may be able to provide.
