I was recently charged with theft 2nd in Washington state for 2 ipod nanos which we (me and another guy) did take but were returned to the owner 4 DAYS (4 F-en DAYS!!!!!) before we were arrested. I don't see how this is theft if he has possession, especially that long before action was taken. We left the ipods at a friends house, we were planning on returning them but never saw the guy again cuz he moved when we took them, but the other guy tells me that he called our friend and told him to return them to the guy. Can someone please give me some tips and laws about this.
