My boyfriend violated his probation and was bailed out. Subsequently he was picked up on a new charge 21 days later and at his arraignment the judge set bail for his new charge and based on the minutes continued his bail on the violation of probation, but when we went to post his bail for the new charge we were informed that there was a probabtion hold and that he would not be able to post bail. Can the court hold the bail money and the person for the same charge? If they are not allowing bail for the VOP shouldn't the bail money be returned and if the bail money is kept shouldn't the person be released? What does "current bail continued" mean? :confused:
