I would like to know if I can cut a picture from a book, frame it, and sell it. Is this a copyright violation? The book says I need to get an authorization to do this. I don't know if I really have to legally, or if this is just a way to discourage people from doing that. I read the US Code Law about copyright and could not find anything about this.
