Can a corporation be charged in a civil suit with violating an individuals constitutional rights, warranting damages? If yes can you provide specific examples?

The specific reason for this question surrounds a civil lawsuit under preperation charging a check guarantor corporation (among other charges) with a specific violation of a party's constitutional right to liberty and freedom, due to placement on a "hot check writer's list" for a Stop Payment Order on a check, placed because the holder of the check had taken his money back without returning the check. The problem is that it may be that only the government can violate those rights and be liable for it. Can't find a case of a corporate or private party being sued for a violation of someone's constitutional rights.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

The answer is that yes you can sue for a violation of your constitutional rights as a tort claim.
