I submitted a note from my doctor to my administrator stating that I should stand 10 minutes per hour on the job because of chronic foot pain. Was sent home because human resources said they could not accomodate me with this.
For the next 3 days I was told to stay home because they were still unable to resolve this.
I am to come to human resources this Monday for a meeting with them.
My job is as a Medical Technologist; work in Hospital Lab.
What are my legal rights? Can I be fired if they deem that they cannot "accomodate" the terms of doctor's note?

This answer may come a bit more delayed. But anyway, what happened?
As per your question, it might be moot and academic now, but under the civil rights and liberties law in the US, you cannot be fired from work just like that due to your physical disability. There are particular rights that you can invoke.

Hit me back. I would like to know more. Tnx!

Yes, your e-mail is a bit late.
I have been terminated from my job and I believe that the doctor's note was used to select me for, as the letter of termination stated, "right sizing". So now I am without a job and cannot find a new one.
I have worked at former employer for over 32 years and was only one from my department that was terminated. I have been in a deep depression since this occurred on Feb. 19th.
