A bailiff acting on their behalf came to my new office with a list of these items and started removing them, they had in their possession a couple of copies of bills that are on my name. Can they take these things that they did not pay for? Please help.

Before this incident we were trading lawyer letters back an forth. My lawyer advised them that I cannot comply with their requests because I have all the bills to prove ownership of these items... What can I do now. My aunt who almost lived to be 100, had a caretaker who after her death remained in her home and continued to pay the property taxes. My aunt's son had to daughters who have no interest in the house. The caretaker was tragically killed in a car accident last year. Not wanting the property to be abandoned or sold for taxes, I went to the local municpal building to see if the caretaker obtained a quit claim deed as he was advised to do as soon as he was advised that the grandchildren had no interest in the property. Apparently, he never obtained a quit claim deed and the house remained in the name of my aunt and her son. Since the time of the caretaker's death, I learned that his daughter is now attempting to sell or lease the property and that the caretaker some how has a $46000 lien against the property. Upon having a septic company come out to pump out the septic, he learned that the company had previously been to the property (for the old homeowner), and had advised them to replace the septic system at that time.

My friend has since found out that the previous owner just made a repair to the system.

Is there any legal action he can take for this? It clearly shows on all paperwork (including the listing from the sellers agent that the septic system was new)?

What type of lawyer does he need to seek for this?
