A previous employer wrote a lawyer letter claiming ownership to items that they did not pay for and for which I have bills to prove ownership. A bailiff acting on their behalf came to my new office with a list of these items and started removing them, they had in their possession a couple of copies of bills that are on my name. Can they take these things that they did not pay for? Please help.

Before this incident we were trading lawyer letters back an forth. My lawyer advised them that I cannot comply with their requests because I have all the bills to prove ownership of these items... What can I do now. The bailiffs did manage to take a couple of items that belong to me...

I work at a public library. Due to recent budget cuts, management has changed hands. Our new boss informed us that we will be expected to clean the public restrooms once every hour. She supplied us with goggles, gloves, and cleaning products. Not that the task is beneath me, but I don't feel like this is why I went to college. Does she have the right to do this to staff?

My aunt and uncle (both deceased) owned a home. My uncle died several years ago, my aunt died about ten yers ago. She had a son who also passed away. My aunt who almost lived to be 100, had a caretaker who after her death remained in her home and continued to pay the property taxes. My aunt's son had to daughters who have no interest in the house. The caretaker was tragically killed in a car accident last year. Not wanting the property to be abandoned or sold for taxes, I went to the local municpal building to see if the caretaker obtained a quit claim deed as he was advised to do as soon as he was advised that the grandchildren had no interest in the property. Apparently, he never obtained a quit claim deed and the house remained in the name of my aunt and her son. Since the time of the caretaker's death, I learned that his daughter is now attempting to sell or lease the property and that the caretaker some how has a $46000 lien against the property. What legal recourse can be taken before the daughter sells or leases this house and what legal recourse can be taken against the financial institution that would allow the caretaker to take a loan out against a property that was not his?

My wife and I are currently separated. We have a 13 year old son. We do have a shared custody order. Right now we are in the process of trying to work things out. The problem is, her mother is not letting her move out. She has even threatened that she will shoot me if I show up on the property just to pick up my son. I would really like to try to put this family back together but her mom is preventing it. What can I do to get her and my son out of that house?

At the time it was advertised as having had a new septic system installed in 2003. With the recent storms in Maryland, his septic system has backed up into his home.
Upon having a septic company come out to pump out the septic, he learned that the company had previously been to the property (for the old homeowner), and had advised them to replace the septic system at that time.

My 5 month old sons father has been harrassing me and I want to ask how I can get proof that the court will consider to get a restraining order on him from seeing me and my son? I have voicemails but I dont know how I can get them off my phone in order to show that to a court? The father has been violent and abusive with me, but stupidly I didn't put that on record. Does that become just hear say now?
We don't have any visitation or child support set up and I was told that because of that that the father doesn't have any rights until he files a case. I also would like to know with my situation if I would be able to move out of the state with my son legally? And perhaps file my own sole Custody case in a new state? Please message me with any legal advice as I am very inexperienced in this custody stuff. Thanks.

I ordered a factory-ordered car from a dealership.:( I filled out the purchase order with the exact options that I wanted. The agreement was signed by me & the manager of the dealership. The sales rep. notified me by email about adding navigation to the car. I responded to him by email tellling him No, that I did not want the navigation in the car. The sales rep. on his own, called the factory in Germany & had the navigation added at an additional cost of $3000. Since the car is coming from Germany & takes 2 months to get here & is in it final stage, the navigation cannot be removed. I do not have a VIN# for the car as yet because it is being built. The navigation was never added on the purchase order & there was no amendment to the purchase order to add it. What are my options in this case:mad:

My dad has been living with me since March 2008. He is currently 88 years old and has steadily been declining in his health. Hospice comes in three times a week to bath him and twice a week to check his vitals. Other than that, I am his caretaker. My question is this: if I should have to put him in a nursing home in the future, will the nursing home take a cd that was transferred out of his name and into his children's names in March of 2009 as part of payment? He has a few small insurance policies also that we were wondering about. (PS We live in Ohio, but his cd is in Pennsyvlania.)

Greetings Judge Mathis, my question concerns false identity. If a person is indicted for a crime, say voluntary manslaughter, and it is found that he is indicted under the wrong or an alias name, what happens in that case? Are charges thrown out? What are the legalities of this situation? How can it be corrected in time so that nothing happens to over turn the decision? I am very concerned and time is of the essence. Thank you:mad:
